Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't be particularly thrilled. Under the circumstances of Trump threatening annexation and the PM in waiting being a guy whose party is 50/50 on whether or not that's a good thing....give me Captain Neoliberal and let's ride.

Not sure if this was already discussed here, but Harper said by far the best thing he has ever said a few days ago:
“I would be prepared to impoverish the country and not be annexed, if that was the option we’re facing… I do think that if Trump were determined, he could really do wide structural and economic damage, but I wouldn’t accept that. I would accept any level of damage to preserve the independence of the country.”

Nah it's cool. We're in the middle of the empire strikes back so shit definitely seems bad, Han just got frozen in carbonite, Vader just altered the plan with Lando and Luke is on Dagobah.
