New Canadian Politics Thread

Macron, Starmer, Merz, Trudeau, Carney, Meloni - one or all of them need to come out and say point blank, the way the US is acting, they are no longer an ally, can no longer be trusted, and are throwing their hat in with Putin and Orban. And start rallying a large economic/military bloc to compete.

Ideally, it would have started months ago. But no time to waste. Longer we wait, worse it gets.

Proact, don't react!

Trump is a bully and like all bullies he's a coward who is trying to get by on bluster. He is also a beta cuck just like all his followers. The minute he is challenged he caves. As long as he can claim he won, he's fine with losing.

The one thing he is not, is tough. He's a phony. So DoFo's approach is the correct one. Call him on his bullshit. Tell him to take his best shot and then tell him he hits like a chick.

Sadly our European allies don’t seem to be too eager to show open support for us.

I think a lot of them, the Brits and their totally spineless PM included, are happy for Trump to stay hyper-fixated on us if it means it distracts him from casting his gaze their way.

And they’re still hoping that by not antagonizing him, they can carve out their own deals with him.

a very short-sighted approach that is nearly certain to come back and bite them in the ass.

I've been most disappointed in the UK. they're twisting themselves into a pretzel to avoid facing obvious realities
