I don't think it's going to be hard tbh. I think Carney knows this is a nationally transformative time and intends to be transformative.
There are some weird times in history where the right type of person with the right skills and ideology became leader when the country needed it. FDR during the depression in the US, Churchill during the war. Zelensky, ditto, etc.
I think a talented economist who spent a decade in Europe/UK and has literally written a book about how societies need to learn to better link the financial value of things with their values as people is the type of guy we need right now.
He has a moment in time right now where he can announce some pretty audacious plans and voters will buy in.

Ya, all I'm saying is he needs to keep his foot on the gas of public perception. I agree with HL that people are dumb and irrational. Trumps going to try to fuck him over and he needs to be ready for that. Carney is a major blow to Drumps agenda.

That is the scary thing. This election is going to get fucked with more than any other election in Canadian history.
Elon, Trump & Putin will use every possible tool in their digital toolboxes to try and get Poilievre elected. And if he doesn’t win, there’s a strong possibility they’ll spin up the “stolen election” and “Canada is a dictatorship that needs to be liberated” narratives.
Especially if Poilievre manages to win a plurality of seats but then inevitably fails to form a government that holds the confidence of the House.
