New Canadian Politics Thread

Voted orange.

In and out in probably 60 seconds. Nobody in line at my poll. Other lines had the odd person.

In Ontario?

Very few, I think. Maybe a few in Northern Ontario and Windsor.

I just dunno how much the Lib lead in Ontario is due to them crushing inside the 416.

905 is volatile, perhaps. It’s FordLand and the CPC vote seems resilient.

Everyone I know and work with is voting pc. But it's just my area. We rolled leslyn lewis in and she won by a landslide.

The only thing I can say positive is I've noticed a lot more liberal signs than I have in the past.

Norfolk used to be in play. Lots of Western European first generation immigrants. Unfortunately their grandkids all think they’re Yellowstone cowboys or some shit.

And thanks for everyone who tossed in their two cents on my hypothetical. Reason I asked was because I wasn’t sure what my own answer would be.

I lean towards option one since Trump is such a global catastrophe and a clear and present danger to Canada’s prosperity and sovereignty.

But then where I’m not sure is that I’m far from convinced that a Trump loss would’ve been anything but a temporary setback to the American and international neo-fascist movement. And given the near absolute power that comes with a massive majority mandate, Poilievre could do a tremendous amount of damage to this country over the course of 4-5 years.

Here’s hoping we get a good result tonight and don’t end up with the worst of both worlds.
