No Excuses No Limits! The mother fucking goddamn season thread

Gotta stick with it. Can't read anything into a game against a meaningless useless Habs team. I do think a Knies-Tavares-Jarnkrok 3rd line would be best use of Tavares whether Minten sticks or not.. But for now no reason to change anything before we even begin because the season opener is tomorrow.
 
on paper that second line still scares me. I guess we'll see but I envision those 3 getting caved by better teams at evens.

Mmm. Woulda been much different if they didn't come back to beat the habs.
 



so he envisions similar start share, but immediately makes things more difficult for himself by going with sammy back to back. probably because he wants to give him a chance to bounce back from game 1 and not feel like he's getting replaced for bad play. but that gets him stuck in a loop of always wanting to play goalies after they play poorly, and sitting them after they play well.

when he could just tell them both that they're going to alternate every game for the forseeable future, and then you never have to worry about their mental states.
 
They’re not a 50/50 platoon. And it’s a long layoff between the first and second games, so it makes sense to let him back in there and build momentum with your de facto starter.
