I’m ok with pieces of shit on the team, but they have to be good at hockey, as well as being a variety of shit that is actually helpful to the team.

And “genocide supporter” and “virulent homophobe” doesn’t fit the bill.
 
Its may be tough to find a big upgrade on Domi at 3C. Jenner, Lindholm. Frost. Maybe the Preds trade Novak. Middlestadt? He is the only "core" guy the Sabres haven't signed to a long term deal yet. Wennberg I guess.

Lots of options to materially upgrade on Kampf though. If Calgary wants Abruzesse they should try to trade him for Posposil.
 
Domi was mostly the 3C (sometimes 1st/2nd line W) for a team that went to the 3rd round last year.

Led the team in Even strength points, too.

Also we’ll have Lilly back soon, Gio eventually, so gives more time to evaluate how much D we actually need.
 
Agreed in all, but I think Brodie is starting to trend downward hard. I bet trading Brodie to Calgary in particular due to his wife's situation, and the likelihood of him resigning and at a good rate to stay home for her.

So that deal is good for both teams.

This is the 90s Calgary blockbuster all over again.

Calgary gets some cheap smash mouth serviceable players. They get a goalie who will go in while markstrom heals up and gives wolf some safe growing space.


We get a big goalie that is under control and Jones waiting on the wings regardless pospisil gives some speed and toughness on the bottom six.

I would even look to extend the deal to try and get mangiapani as a bertuzzi replacement next year. As someone will pay him more than what mangi is making

Anyway that's my two cents
