He is what he is. The question is where does he fit in our top 9. He's a good middle 6 LW'er who plays with pace that we need, but it may take some shuffling around to find the lineup that works best for this group. Bertuzzi and Domi not looking at peak form in their first 2 games with a new team shouldn't be a surprise. A lot of how the lineup shakes loose is going to depend on Minten being a legit option in that 3C spot. If he's not (and let's be honest, the odds are against him at 19) then our best lineup might end up looking more like this:
XXXXX-Matthews-Marner
Domi-Willy-XXXXX
XXXXX-Tavares-Bertuzzi (who can play both wings)
With Knies, Robertson & Jarnkrok shuffling around to find the best fits within the XXXXX's until the deadline when we figure out what we need to bring in (if anything) for a playoff run

Domi-Willy-XXXXX

I would not mess with Willy. Guy has never been a center in the NHL and hasn’t played the position in years. He’s also on an early tear. Leave him alone.

I feel like the team could acquire a recently thawed 1987 Wayne Gretzky and insert him as the new 2LC and you would hate the idea because it pushes the 11M Pajama robot to 3LC and you simply cant cope with that.
