Very wild. There's always the possibility we lose Nylander too...I mean I don't want to see it happen, but why would you trade a potential replacement? Domi and Bertuzzi are only on 1 yrs too.

It's a low risk move imo. If he's better than what Samsonov has been giving us (or Jones will give us over a representative body of work), it's good for him to get the reps and us to get functioning goaltending. If he's just no ready, he gives us the type of goaltending we were already getting, lets us take Hildeby off the list as potential answers and then he goes back down to the AHL to be one of the best goalies in the league but with a new appreciation for what NHL shooters are like, new film to learn from, etc.

But in all honesty Marlies play again tomorrow so they may just be saving him for that. Might as well dress someone else if they can, in case he has to come in relief.
