I'm going to be positive on this one.

Lorentz actually is what we've been trying to get for our fourth line but failed with ZAR, Dewar etc.
He plays like he did in Florida. Get in on the forecheck, hit and skate trying to tire out whomever they have out there.

Reaves is going to be there for game one so Zhejac jackeye doesn't think he can go after anyone without getting smashed.

So I see it as a game one and then alternating nights or in and out of the line up
 
Let's be clear on what Lorentz did for florida last year tho

Season: 38 of 82gms (46%), 8:16 evtoi (#16 of 18), 0:30 pktoi (#6)
Playoffs: 16 of 24gms (67%), 6:40 evtoi (#14 of 14), 0:21 pktoi (#7)

and it's likely he's out of the playoffs lineup entirely if it wasn't for an injury to ryan lomberg.


Lorentz was an ok extra press box forward for the panthers last year and they didn't bother making him even league minimum offer.
 
This could be the worst iteration of a Leaf 4th line yet. Remember when Lorentz signed and some of you sweet summer children thought he was here to replace a traded Kampf?

Also only this org would see the Robertson preseason and use it to take away McManns job for it.
 
If Berube is going with the philosophy of basing his choices only on what he saw in the preseason, it's dumb but I guess I kind of get it. As long as he's responsive enough when the season starts to dump the dead weight, I suppose can live with it. If he lets it ride while they're shitting the bed we've got problems.

There is merit in the old school stuff and some modern country lead guitarists. Most of it is indistinguishable, interchangeable, and largely disposable.

I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down'.

now that he's stacked the top 2 lines again, we can be sure that that 3rd line will actually be the 4th line, and the 4th line will once again be used as some kind of tough usage checking line.

Well, yeah I mean, I hate to generalize on a whole genre of music, but it does seem to be missing that magic element that it used to have. I’m sure there are people playing country that are doing it well, but they’re just not getting the attention that the shittier stuff gets. But that’s the way it always is, isn’t it?

But I hope that kind of swings around back to where it should be. But I don’t really see a George Jones or a Buck Owens or any anything that fresh coming up. I’m sure there must be somebody doing it, but most of that music reminds me of rock in the middle Eighties where it became incredibly generic and relied on videos. I don’t want to rail on about country because I don’t really know much about it, but that’s what it seems like to me.
