No Excuses No Limits! The mother fucking goddamn season thread

Hilarious.

However i find swimming pools set near 90 to be way too tepid, i very much enjoy the initial chilly feel and having to get used to a temperature. Mid 80's is where i draw the line, otherwise, just like, buy a hot tub.
Who tf sets their pool to 90? Or 85 for that matter. Those are spas. Pool heaters are usually set in the 70s.

Florida man might not be the best person to answer why people sets their pools to what temperatures in Canada.

Mid 80's night swim >

Hot tubs are like 99-103

Similar to the tavares breakdown yesterday, I wanted to look at Rielly's start.

all stats since 16-17 only.

I'm surprised to see his zone usage is lighter this year than ever before. I was sure that the Rielly-Brodie pair were getting the heavies. I'll have to take a closer look at that. It's still nice that his nerdies are career bests right now but not quite as impressive as I thought maybe.

Average of p/60 and p1/60

Hmm. Also not as encouraging as I thought. Middling at best offensively at 5v5. Where his offense is really coming through is at 4v4 and on the PP.

More encouraging looking at the Even Strength numbers, but still nothing special career wise:

Average p/60 and p1/60

1. 18-19: 1.48
2. 21-22: 1.33
3. 23-24: 1.10

6. 19-20: 0.93
7. 20-21: 0.86
8. 16-17: 0.79

So maybe my eye test got a little overexcited by his non 5v5 offense.

But he still is putting up impact numbers - just not quite as impressive as I thought.

Makes me want to see which of our Dmen are shouldering the heavy load defensively....

DZS% - OZS%

1. Liljegren +4.4

2. Brodie +2.2
3. Giordano +2.0
4. McCabe +0.7
5. Rielly -5.1
6. Klingberg -6.4

Basically it seems like Rielly-Klingberg are getting a bunch of ozone starts together.

Of course, this just makes Lilly look better and better:

1. Liljegren 56.3%

So yeah it's probably Liljegren we should be most excited about back there. Also, Brodie continues to be a rock in tough usage.

Would be nice to see Reaves get in some more fights. First off, because they're fun and he's good at it and his teammates like and that's what he's here for.

but second, because he might get injured, which would give us a chance to see a lineup more like this:

Knies --- Matthews --- Marner
Bertuzzi --- Tavares --- Nylander
Domi --- Jarnkrok --- Robertson
Gregor/McMann --- Kampf --- Holmberg/McMann

Okay...post work high post coming.

Listening to overdrive and they were talking about how Reaves posted a video with him scaring the players coming in....and how certain teams can't really do that now because it would seem innaproriate like Calgary and huberdeau having fun.

And I thought of another thing I heard of with Calgary not having a Reaves type to prevent what Kane said to them...

So hear me out. Tre makes a package to get one of their top four dman and maybe even a true 3C with backlund or Lindholm. Mcabe, Holmberg Reaves for weeger, Zadorov Lindholm/backlund.
For money...yes see if you could do a samsonov vladar deal 😜
