Here's a bunch of veteran Cs on non-playoffs team that could all easily be on the block this deadline:
funny enough, after years of being linked to the leafs, and mostly sucking, Scott Laughton is actually having a great year. Of course, he's not a fulltime C this year or in recent years really but he does play there a good chunk still.
some others here i believe have been playing a lot of wing this year too - i.e. pageau, kerfoot, gourde, copp, maybe more.
of course, personally i'm not sure C is the priority but it sounds like the team thinks it is. And i'm not gonna say it can't be upgraded by some of these names.
and yeah there are some potential younger options that maybe a team like Buffalo or Philly or Anaheim or something might be willing to trade but I wouldn't if i were them.

Zibs has been a PP merchant for a while now. He plays C technically but i don't think he is one anymore. He's slow and poor defensively and doesn't produce like a top-6 center at even strength.
All the talk about a guy like Tavares needing to be moved to the wing while a team that people called contenders like the rangers have two Cs like Trocheck and Zibanejad. it's funny.

Would be nice if they can get a new tavares deal in place at 3 years and maybe $5mil per season and then bring in someone with term. We don't have anyone to fill a top 2 C role in the pipeline.
