No Excuses No Limits! The mother fucking goddamn season thread

Mitch is elite when his feet are moving and he's attacking and creating space. Auston is 6'3 220 and plays the offensive game with patience because he's looking for gaps in time and space to exploit. Mitch tries to adapt to Auston when they're together instead of just being Mitch.

They can definitely work together, but Mitch needs to be Mitch when they're together. Mitch also at least looks like he's considering shooting the puck when they're apart. When defences can just collapse on Auston when they see Mitch with the puck, it's not doing much of any good for us to have them out there together.

Also, elite money players should be able to drive their own lines and make them dangerous. It's the only way to make having a bunch of big money forwards work imo.

Was O'Riellys issue with toronto/toronto media/too many friends and family asking for shit or was it something else?

Looks like nashville may blow it up and adding him back as a C at 4.5 may not be the worst thing. Kampf/jarny other way for salary and then a prospect to nashville.

I don't think anything can't work in tbe M&M combo i just think it's very stale at the moment. Both look for each other too much instead of takkng control.

And we saw both Mstthews and Marner run dominant lines last year by themselves (both with Bert/Domi linemates) so no reason not to try it. You can always reunite them.
