$5m+ in capspace wasted on utter crap. Kampf, Krok, Reaves, Hakanpaa. We wouldn't miss them in the least bit. We wouldn't ever even think of them again.

add in another minimum $800k to that if you're trading for an upgrade on one of these roster spots.

add in another minimum $800k in space if you drop down to a 22 man roster. another minimum $800k to drop down to 21.


Easily enough capspace to add another impact player anywhere. Enough capspace to add two impact players with 50% retention.

Ideal situation, minten starts this year's playoffs as our fourth line C with Lorentz and Dewar/Grebenkin.
A third line c with some bite and size that can skate like a Colton Sisson or Kadri or Bjugstad 6'6 all day. With Patches and Domi on the wing

Minten on the fourth is sexy ease him into next year 2/3 C
 
Do we even have assets to move for real upgrades? Dubas emptied the draft pick cupboard every fucking year.

Not sure they can play this game much longer though. Decision time is almost here for real.

Definitely hope they dump some of the deadweight.

At the same time, I’m 100% OK with sitting guys after injuries for longer than needed. Especially if they’re vets. They should do a lot of that this year.

Agreed. A little bit of load management on vets (who are actually good) makes total sense.
