I don't trust Stolarz to not have a knee injury in the 2nd round if we try to ride him like that.

We're rolling the dice either way. Either roll the dice on Stolarz' health, which would force you into a Woll-Murray tandem, or trust Woll to play and give Stolarz the more pivotal games.
 
I like what Boston did last year in the playoffs tbh.

Swayman started game 1 and was lights out.

But even then, they started Ullmark game 2, just like they had alternated all year long, and Ullmark was ok but not great.

Swayman started the next game and was awesome again.

And then they just went with Swayman.

Until he gave up 4 goals in 2 periods in gm 2 of rnd 2, and they yanked him.....but Ullmark came in and gave up 2 quick goals anyways.

The toughest call then was for game 3 - which they gave to Swayman despite his 1 bad game......and Swayman shat the bed again, giving up 5 goals. I don't know that Ullmark would have been the better choice that game, but that game may have decided the series. Swayman started the last 3 games and was good in all of them, but it wasn't enough.

I’ve just learned a new interesting trivia fact today. The last season in which both the Detroit Red Wings and the Boston Bruins missed the NHL playoffs in the same year was 1966-67. So far, Boston is on a 10-game losing streak at this point in the season and is dead last in the eastern conference. As of April 2, 2025, Detroit is actually 4 points away from the last playoff spot in the East, currently held by the Montreal Canadiens. It’s too early to confirm their elimination from the playoff race. But There’s still a pretty strong possibility that both of these teams could miss the playoffs this year in 2025.

And by the way, 1966-1967 was actually the last season that the Maple Leafs won the Stanley cup championship. What an encouraging coincidence. That gives me hope personally.
