One or two excuses & probably quite limited! The "ah fuck, here we go again" playoff thread

difficult to frame this in a way that doesn't make the Leafs look bad.

Unless it’s confirmed it’s a concussion and someone can produce a video showing that he suffered it in game 82, I still remain convinced that Willy and the team knowingly let him play through an injury for at least a week or two so that he could chase the 100-point mark.

I actually doubt that. If he did something, he did it on his own, but I don't think that he'd risk the playoffs just to get to 100 points.

If he didn't already have his extension done, I'd say maybe. But it doesn't ring true otherwise.

fuck, indeed.

if true, he may have actually sustained it in game 82. wouldn't explain his play the final couple weeks of the season though...

I'm going to say it's gone undiagnosed and he's had it for a bit. His hands went to shit about 2 weeks ago, this could definitely cause that.

The way he was skating in that short clip looked like he felt like shit. Gingerly moving, lightly touching the puck.

All signs point to something sensitive he wants to softly test out, and brain and groin would be the two biggies.
