The gleeful cruelty, racism, constant anger & hate and of course, the authoritarianism that come along with Trump and the MAGA cult are all definitely beyond the pale. Even without even getting into the whole alternate reality they inhabit.

I consider myself very fortunate that none of my family or friends have been sucked in by the Trump cult, so as a result I haven’t had to make any hard choices.

Because I honestly don’t see how I could do anything except just go completely no-contact with anyone I know who’s a Trump supporter, no matter how close our previous relationship. I don’t really see how it’s much different than being a literal Nazi or a white supremacist. If that’s someone’s thing, I don’t want any relationship with them and don’t want them in my life.
 
He plays to the inner tough guy we have in us. The one that weak people wish they could be more often. Someone who can say what they want about others, (Often to put them down to big themselves up) and of course get away with
