That argument doesn’t really work for existential threats like climate change, but then Republicans say that’s fake too. They also want to cut health care, social security and education funding, and pretty much all the things people with kids really care about.

The whole childless cat ladies thing is just more screechy grievance rambling. Like all MAGAt talking points, it’s designed to make people angry at each other, not to make any sense.

The annoying thing is that religious right-wingers like JD have an easy-out for stuff like this. Especially those that converted to Christianity/“found their faith” as an adult like he did.

Just play up how this is an example of how he was a lost and vile sinner, bereft of God’s love and corrupted by atheistic, left-wing college ideals. But then, a beam of light shone down on him from the heavens and with God’s infinite grace he was saved and put on the path of righteousness. Etc, etc.

Religious folks absolutely eat that shit up. No conversion story is ever complete without the teller really hamming up what a horrible sinner they were before they were “saved”.
