I don't have children, but I do want a better world for my nieces and nephews.

35 year old Childless cat ladies have friends with kids, family with kids and probably 50+ years left on the planet but for some reason do not have a "stake in the future".

Only the absolute dumbest fucks would think this, and even worse say it out loud like it is a logical thought.

May as well cut off voting age as well then. Once you're on social security you're cut off from voting because you have no stake in the future and you're just a socialist mooch.

If you ever worked in social work, or a hospital, you'd know that simply procreating does not qualify you for shit all. And I'm a parent.

you could make a much better argument that it's the ones with children who care less about society at large, and only care about their own kids. That's just an inevitable, natural, by-product of being a parent - look out for your own, at the expense of others if need be. Basic, animal instinct.

but we wouldn't actually say that as election policy of course. we're not morons.
