OT: American Politics

The advent of cable news was the worst thing to happen to journalism. Not because of the availability of “news” but because of the need for continuous content. It is more important to keep eyes on the content as opposed to keeping up the integrity of the content.

When CNN covered Desert Storm, and 911, it was different and by far the best use of 24 hr medium. Today, influencers posing as journalists are killing the news as information sources.

It isn’t dead yet, but they are trying.

just terrible reporting. headline is fucking inaccurate and misleading.

and not mentioned until the sixth paragraph that what he did is strictly forbidden. in fact they note before that paragraph that dotard had permission from the families, as if it matters or is relevant...

and the alleged assault only turns up in paragraph eight, even though the "incident" (i.e. alleged assault) is mentioned well before that.

the headline is "Fresh controversy brews over Trump's Arlington National Cemetery visit".

just a massive failure by the editors.

how about, "Trump team accused of assault after physically forcing its way into Arlington to violate its rules and take photographs"
