OT: American Politics

Yes, the tweet obviously leaves out that he said (paraphrasing):

"Some women want to go back to work immediately, some want a little bit of time at home with their baby, some want a longer period of time with their baby. We should provide the ability for a women to choose how long she is able to stay at home after giving birth and not feel forced to return to work too soon."

You should actually watch the debate instead of relying on biased, lying-through-omission sources.

The people who roasted Harrison Butker for saying that some women's highest sense of self actualization is being a mother at home than slaving away in a cubicle are all of a sudden concerned about a quote taken out of context that implies women don't get to be home with their baby long enough. Rich.

not sure what your pea-brain isn't getting here.

no one wants to go back to work "immediately" after labour. yes, women are going to find that a dumb thing to say.
paid parental leave is great
a woman's value isn't only in being a wife/mother.
some people actually have fulfilling careers they want to return to, not just shitty cubicle jobs
