with the polling margins so thin, it's really all up in the air.

demographic turnout is pure guesswork at this point.
I don't think early voting turnout is guesswork. Dems are really the only ones who vote early in large numbers, mostly because if they live in GOP-controlled states, they are primed to anticipate "shenanigans" happening on election day. If you're seeing record-breaking numbers of early voters it's never going to be good news for Republicans.

:ROFLMAO: I've been around fellow voters for couple decades now and never heard someone mention "election day shenanigans" as a reason to vote early.

note this is more certain busy places get a lower share than reasonable for the numbers going through
