I know you don't actually listen to anything he says, but every speech he is threatening to both revoke broadcasting licenses, and sic the DOJ on news organizations.

Threatening to skip over Gen X is nothing new for us. Our entire existence has been about being overshadowed by Boomers until we're too old to take over and then being pushed aside in favor of millennials.
And maybe that partially explains why Trump might appeal to them.
Im an early Gen Xer who, in my 20's liked Reagan and in my first election in 1984 voted for Mulroney. I have, as I have aged, moved further to the left while many of my cohort (like Count) have started moving not just to the right but have gravitated toward actual fascists like Poilievre and Trump.
All it shows me is that avarice, self-interest and white grievance over inconvenience comes with age. Boomers once wanted to buy the world a Coke. Today they don't want to pay their taxes and don't care if half the country starves to death. "I've got mine, so fuck everyone else". That's not a Boomer thing, it's an old white entitled person thing and Gen Xers of my vintage are closer to the nursing home than their high school graduation.
