Yep. I know that people have tried to assure me that he doesn’t have the power of incumbency this time, so their chances of success are even less than last time.
But my counter to that is that last time, I think they were legitimately expecting to win the vote. And then all of the coup attempts—legal, procedural & violent—were more or less slap-dashed together on the fly.
This time they’ll have had four years to prepare their fuckery, with the more clear-eyed intelligent fascists around Trump likely baking into their plans from the start that winning on the strength of actual votes was unlikely and shouldn’t be counted on.
