Three reasons:
1. Because Trump had a good case for plausible fraud and they needed a distraction from that.
2. To stain the Trump movement to prevent him from being in office again.
3. To throw Trump in jail to further point 2.

I imagine there'll be a few updates to this yet before polls close. But fuck it let;s do it live.
pretty hilarious that PA actually is sitting in an absolute dead fucking heat in the average of averages on the day before the election. that's legit crazy. but funny.
One thing to remember when looking at this is that we could just hand Trump Arizona, lop it off this chart, and the chart would look much prettier for the dems....without changing the electoral math at all. AZ's 11 EVs are actually close to meaningless in this current state of the race. It's only here because 2.2pts is still way within the margin of error so it;'s still tied despite being the biggest gap here.
And that's what we also have to remember. despite all the fancy coloring here all these numbers are still just basically saying all these states are tied and anything can happen.
Anways here's how the chart looks when you just give AZ to Trump:

sure, the volume of bullshit is challenging, no doubt.
and just because he wants engagement does mean there is no value in engaging either.

Have a report today that is taking forever to load. It's annoying. I complained to the company that their API data sucks and that this is an issue but they don't have a solution. Quite frustrating. You guys are my distraction.

Likewise, the EV and registration numbers look good for R's. In the end, I have a hard time believing abortion will be a big enough issue to sway this election past the economic troubles the country has experienced.
