You still don't get it, do you? We aren't having free and fair elections anymore. By 2028 the US will be a performative authoritarian state. There will still be elections and people will still be elected to Congress, but it will just be for show. The MAGA party will control everything. It will be the veneer of representation but it will be a de facto dictatorship.

Russia still has a parliament. It still has elections. But Putin never loses. That's America now.

Besides, by 2028 Obama will be in a concentration camp.

There are some schadenfreude-y positives.

People like Nikki Heyley who hoped Trump loses but didn't want to lose their future in the party so went along with him, have in fact lost their political future. People like Mitch McConnell who hate Trump will have to work for him everyday, etc
 
It's just hard to fathom how the way the campaigns looked the last few days had no correlation to how the race was actually going. Like sure, it doesn't matter if a venue is half empty an hour before the event and people were probably overstating some of the Trump lethargy.

But the fact remains that Harris events were generally jam packed with huge lineups, and Trump's were snoozefests with a bunch of empty seats. Like okay, maybe there was a disconnect or upset in one or two states. But it was all of them.

This wasn’t 2020 Joe. He would have gotten spanked too.

They needed to make the decision Joe was a one term president early and nominate a rock star from outside the administration. When that ship sailed, Kamala was worth a shot.

Another complete failure by the dems. Cannot believe they let this guy up off the mat. What a disaster.

To everyone who voted for this, congratulations. You have know idea how bad of an idea this is.

There isn’t a single policy of Trumps’ that I agree with.
