OT: American Politics

so when do we think the US economy will be in a recession again?

I'd say Q2 in 2026, at the very latest. but likely towards the end of next year

whenever the large cuts actually happen.
that's probably the correct answer.

I'm assuming there will still be a fair bit of incompetence in this next administration (and grift, so much grift), but that the level of competence generally will be higher than in 2016. although now that I type that out, I'm revisiting it, since most of the people in this administration are gonna be complete lackeys. but they've had years to plan and folks like Heritage have been on the job...

Too many people who interact closely with him feel the same way. His public appearances give the same impression. Kamala looked cold and impersonal and Trump was the exact opposite. The people's president.

Bribes from who for what? He cares too much about what his base things to do that. Plus he's principled.

Going on about an absurd hypothetical is pointless. Entertaining such a thing is a waste of time.
He can't unilaterally decide term limits. The constitution would be ammended, which congress would never do.

Marriage is a religious sacrament The state should've never got involved to begin with. But since they confer tax benefits, the government will always given equal protection to different varieties of marriage for government benefits purposes.

I'd be pretty upset if they built camps for immigrants. They should just be taking them straight back to mexico. No need for a pit stop.

I would not speak out if the DOJ prosecuted people who were perceived as democrats. The DOJ only uses actual laws to prosecute, right?
You need to put down the pipe. You said Trump is principled. If you actually believe that you are higher than a fucking kite.

if they're smart, they won't actually do those stupid cuts.

but they're true idealogues, and they're dying to prove that their worldview is right, so i think they will.

An uncorrupted DOJ does, yeah.

Bill Barr is a total prick, but at least you could make the argument he was a legit ag. There is little chance Trump hires anyone this time who is not a total lackey willing to do anything Trump wants, though. That's the message we are trying to get through to you. This time there will be no guardrails.
No he was not legit. He's another one from the Opus Dei cabal along with Sam Alito. He purposely gutted and redacted all the parts of the Mueller Report that proved Trump was dirty.
