OT: American Politics

Hey I'm not saying she was great! I'm just saying I don't think talking more policy would have gotten her a w. Trump's campaign was an absolute circus. And beyond him going on popular podcasts (which was brilliant), the McDonalds and garbage truck events were pretty damn impressive. He's a showman. And tbh, I'm not sure how many people could have beaten him this year.

sure, we don't know what would tip the scales...but when you fail to do simple things (go on podcasts, explain how you're NOT EXACTLY Biden ,etc) leaves you wondering

Everything is made much, much easier when you have an entire media machine helping to drive your narrative.

It's kind of like being a real estate mogul and inheriting your first half billion in real estate.
You're saying the media helped to drive Trump's narrative more than Harris'?

I'm not saying it's good but a lot of folks will fall for it.....more oil, lower energy prices, which helps all prices go down

Yeah, that it put big bully Donnie on his back foot was all the proof we needed to know that he was afraid of it. Weird and small rallies were the two most powerful attacks Kamala ended up managing.

in the end, Team Kamala was just as obsessed about rallies!!

Couldn't go a few hours without hearing about lineups to get in, all the noise that was being made, etc

One of Trump's policies was literally to put the US into a crippling recession (deflation). This is what we're working with here and this is why it's hard for me to know what would have worked. We're dealing with a country loaded with stupid people here. And it's tough to think like them.

and then he encouraged russia and SA to cut oil production, limit supply, and raise prices!

I also think she just isn't likeable enough to Americans. Which alone makes her a mediocre politician. It's a popularity contest and she's up against a reality TV sensation. David vs Goliath.

what was donnie's inflation policy again?
When you're running on policy and you avoid answering questions, it doesn't matter what the other side says.

If you're trying to outdo someone with either bad policies or no policies, the avoidance of articulating your policy isn't going to get you far.

advanced nerd stat!! nobody cares but maybe they wold have if Kamala mentioned it

while kamala was being grilled on her inflation answers maybe someone could have asked donnie why inflation was high even though energy production was through the roof!

you're not very good at these slogans, either

I think the podcast thing is over rated personally. But I agree that her inability to properly articulate any difference between herself and Biden until she had bottled the question a few times and quickly focus grouped a meh answer to the question definitely hurt.

"I love and appreciate the leadership Joe Biden has shown these last 4 years but I see a few things differently"...and lay out a few answers to pain points on inflation, housing affordability, and immigration. Joe is a big boy, he'll understand the need for Kamala to take credit for the things that help and walk back the things that hurt.
