OT: American Politics

If i were the dems, i'd spend the next 4yrs spending all political capital fighting tooth and nail on the issues regarding elections and the rule of law, and just let maga do what it wants in terms of economic policy.

Let the voters feel the real impacts of that economic policy for once. But do everything you can to make sure there's still a way to ensure everyone's votes count next time they have a choice.

The left has to stop being the place that things like humour and culture goes to die. The right is still insufferable and entirely unfunny. Their idea of culture is cruelly punching down at everyone and everything they don't like but instead of being the side of the political spectrum that produced protest culture.

Can we go back to being the culture that produced Willie Nelson, Dylan, Chuck D, Snoop & literally everyone funny from like 1965 to 2010 and then start dragging the politicians to our populism. Health care and housing as human rights, pro small business, pro labour, etc.

yep. they're going to "free" business by putting each industry under the rule of a government appointee. sounds familiar.
 
The Left needs to redefine Masculinity that is not "Toxic Masculinity" and that Women find attractive. Also, "How to be an Anti-Racists" shouldn't be just "Anti-White".
 
Another thing:

This could be very good for the Left and Dems in the long run. People in the West don't think that Fascism can happen here. They are to evolved for this to happen.

Let MAGA do all the fascism it wants in the next 4 years - they can't do too much as there will be a civil war. Or maybe a civil war would be good for them. They need to be reminded of what Freedom means to them.

It just sucks that as we are getting older, we won't see the fruits of this play out.

you can't just let them do fascism - because then there's no more free and fair elections, and we're all fucked.

fight the fascism tooth and nail.


but let them go hog wild on the economy. their policies would cause enough pain to wake enough people up, and four years shouldn't be enough to completely break shit permanently. hopefully.
