Only because they were publicly shamed. Once Trump cracks down on the media and allows corporations to operate in the shadows with zero public oversight, Anthem will bring this policy back and they'll get away with it.

Maher never seems to get tired from trying to pretend that Trump trying to be a dictator isn't as big a problem as "wokeness". He's becoming a Trump apologist in the process, just like Count, who all of a sudden thinks that Maher has a point.

Just so happy that all the "little people" who feel forgotten and can't afford eggs or bacon exercised their right to elect a billionaire to hire a bunch of other billionaires to give tax cuts to billionaires. I'm sure they will all be crypto millionaires soon!!

With Thiel, it’s a bit more fun. He didn’t actually grow up in South Africa itself, technically.
In the 60’s & 70’s, apartheid South Africa invaded their neighbour Namibia, occupied part of it (ultimately for about 25 years), set up a “Donetsk People’s Republic”-style puppet government run by South Africa and opened up what is still one of the world’s largest Uranium mines there.
Daddy Thiel relocated the family from Cleveland to occupied Namibia to take a job at that Uranium mine and little Peter went to an all-white fancy lads private school there. In apartheid South Africa-occupied Namibia.
Totally normal childhood.
