OT: American Politics

well yah the void is the failure of government to enact legislation that benefits a majority of its citizens, instead of the rich minority. which unfortunately is only gonna get worse in the near term, not better

And government does this because it's been captured by organized capital. I'd much, much prefer that an enlightened populace figures this out and through a grass roots campaign cleans out it's government from the municipal upward to reflect the needs of it's people better....but yeah, lol.

when the nobility goes too far, revolution inevitably follows.

Well thats what Occupy Wall Street was, but then they used social media to turn people back against each other. Now civil war is closer than a revolution.

Now murders are politicized.

nothing was bad enough yet for the Occupy movement to be anything but fringe.

but even in the big revolutions, much of the populace isn't on the side of the revolutionaries.

he really is fucking stupid

I don’t think any better example of the Dunning-Kruger effect exists than Elon Musk.

Like, obviously there are some niche ways in which the man is legitimately a genius. For example, in PR & self-promotion.

But holy hell is he ever a shockingly credulous moron when it comes to the other 99% of human existence.
