At this point, NATO membership really isn't worth much, so meh. Ukraine getting fast tracked into the EU (which has a military defence clause) with other individual military alliances with France, Germany, UK, Poland, Finland, Sweden, etc would do just fine.
There's a path to the return of 2021 borders, and even a path to the return of 2014 borders, but they're long, expensive, and bloody. Getting fast tracked into the EU is probably enough of a win at this point. I know there's legitimate concern about Russia using it as an opportunity to lick their wounds and re arm, but they're not going to catch any of their adversaries unaware going forward.
