When a fascist madman is trying to annex your country, so-called "on the ground issues" can go fuck themselves. This is the only issue. We fail to deal with it and all those other issues become academic.
 
Just a reminder....we don't have to beat the Americans if they come. We have to make our quislings too afraid (or past tense....) to collaborate with the Americans.

The Americans have a truly, truly shit record of protecting collaborators both during and after any of their adventures.

Americans also have a low tolerance for their soldiers coming home from foreign occupations in body bags. So it’d be important for any Canadian insurgency to produce a plentiful supply of those as well.

You're not wrong, but imo that's a difficult approach to take with the US military. It was difficult in Iraq and Afghanistan and more difficult now in the era of high end drones and hellfire missiles. It's probably the best way for a lot of civilian casualties to happen whereas they're unlikely to put much effort into protecting quislings.
