Temporarily. Wait until everyone rewires their economies and trade around US instability and realizes it's actually better for their economies to be more diverse. Just putting all of your shit on a boat and sending it to one place is convenient, but obviously problematic.
The US built this system and were the main beneficiary of it by a lot. That it's populace was too lazy/stupid to understand that and it's wealthy too greedy to accept that as their portion is going to fucking amaze future historians.

A core problem is that it's easy to think that they look at the world the way we would if we had that much money. But there's a bunch of self selection filters required to generate those obscene levels of wealth, and just like with fortune 500 CEO's, the "skills" necessary to get that far are usually the traits of sociopathy.
So nah, billionaires don't think about it like that. They would rather have more control over a lesser system, than lesser control over a bigger, more equitable system. The numerical dollar value stops meaning anything and it becomes more about getting high score on the video game of life, whatever the cost. We're all NPC's to them.

Totally true. Unfortunately we've constructed society such that being a billionaire = winning.
There a few exceptions who either we never that way and kinda fluked into it, or those who have reformed somewhat, like Gates. Would be nice to see more collective pushback from the non-sociopathic 1%.

The best way to push back is to tax and regulate the shit out of the billionaire class. But unfortunately politicians are always for sale and they're usually going cheap. So unless or until members of the 99% are willing to Luigi these fucks and cull the herd, nothing is going to change.
Billionaire tech bros arent going to ever be reformed. They simply need to be killed. Same with the grasping politicians they own. Bullets will need to be shot through heads for this to get fixed

Yep. They don’t give a shit about a healthier, more equitable economy that’s ultimately going to be able to generate bigger profits for them. Not when they’ve got access to more personal wealth than any person could spent in a lifetime and limitless additional credit from financial institutions and foreign totalitarian regimes.
What they want now is to become modern-day Kings or Feudal Lords.
