I was actually going to add an asterix to say that yes he is wealthy now, but this was highly, highly questionable at best prior to the election.

50+ years of being a fake businessman that led to a mountain of debt, money laundering and 6 bankrupcies = good at business
1 successful crypto scam = generational wealth
 
I’d like to think there will be pushback against Trump’s all out support of Russia and the tide might start to turn against him. But I really doubt it.

Next week, Republican Senators will be talking about how Trump makes some good points about Ukraine, aren’t they pretty corrupt after all, they rejected his peace deal, maybe they could have avoided the war with a better diplomatic strategy. A couple weeks later they’ll all be firmly pro-Putin. That’s the way the party has behaved every single time for a decade.
