The funniest thing about this for me is that in the Bible, Jesus himself specifically shit-talks people like this and this specific kind of behaviour. Hypocrites who make an empty, ostentatious public spectacle of their supposed religious devotion. And praises people who instead quietly practice their faith with real devotion in private.
But if there’s one thing MAGA Republican Christians are consistent on, it’s not giving a shit about actually trying to be “Christ-like”. Or about anything commie-Jesus of the actual Bible has to say.
