I think he's already corruption pivoting for SpaceX and xAI to be defacto government departments vacuuming up massive contracts and he'll drain Tesla of as much cash as he can manage before it implodes.

One thing is definitely certain. Those decades of America tough guy propaganda we were fed by Hollywood and 5th Ave were based on nothing. There turned out to be nothing exceptional about them, they're rolling over and showing their belly at a speed people in other countries find to be amazing.

the 'brand' of America is fucking dead. Foreign governments will re wire public contracts elsewhere. We've talked about the defence procurement aspects of this, but it's a much wider world than that really, and this is actually a massive opportunity for Canada, the UK, Germany, etc to snatch a shit ton of financial services, development, tech contract that previously all went to US firms. 10's-100's of billions of dollars that flowed towards the US that no longer will. Even regions like the Middle East who will continue their relationship with the US will have more options to choose from as non American firms start to fill this void.
