I hope that will turn out to be true. Initial steps by Trump made it seem he was largely acting during the election, but his recent nominations are not good at all. Pence, Lynn, Sessions..these are not good people.

Pence was selected long ago and I do agree that they're fringe selections. This is how I see it which may be different from how you see it...
Pence was selected to appease the GOP establishment. He is the bridge to Ryan, McConnell etc.
Flynn was selected because he was loyal yes but also because he loathes Muslims. This is well known among the right base that are afraid of the terrorist bogeyman. It sent the signal that Trump is serious about irradicating ISIS. I'm hoping for Petraeus as secretary of defense to counteract Flynn, he's far more stable.
Bannon is a RW wacko appeasement and he's the sith Lord like Cheney was. Scary individual.
Priebus should be fine. Here's not insane. Another appointment to bring the GOP together.
Giuliani will get something but I sure hope not secretary of state.
Sessions is the head scratcher. He'll have a lot of unfeathered power as AG and I think you'll see cases brought forth that are questionable. The confirmation hearings will be interesting.

I could pull up the exit polling concerning Mexicans, Muslims, and jobs as well if you want me to. They were far and away the 3 most stated reasons for supporting Trump
The average trump voter made 72k and was worried about those 3 things but not very knowledgeable about any of them. Those are the facts

I wonder if there will be a concerted effort by the Dems to relocate their people to currently red states.
I did read something about most of the refugee settlements are in red states, which will eventually lead to more Democratic voters, but that's probably a long term plan.
If you don't like flyover states having too much say...get out there and change the demographics. But then again, maybe doing real work instead of working at places like Google would change them into Republicans.
Being the one that is paying for all of the "entitlements" can change your perspective in a hurry.

That little nugget is based off of an old french quote which actually was defending the French Monarch during the revolution. It's been misappropriated by people who can't think beyond the ideological team they belong to, for about 60-70 years now (basically ever since it was misattributed to Churchill). If you spent as much time being clever, as you spent trying to sound clever, you'd probably see things a bit differently than you do.
