That is the kind of prosecution that could actually have an impact. If the people who put forward fraudulent candidates are in jail in 2024, it’s going to be a lot more difficult to find someone else to do the same thing again.

The reason why poor white trash support Trump even though supporting Republicans actually works against their own interests, is because they care more about the license that Trump gives them to be openly racist than anything else. Healthcare, education, a decent job, even the disability payments that so many of these Rascal-driving, diabetes-ridded fat fucks live on. NOTHING is more important to these people than being able to act like racists without being shamed for it.
Racism is the central organizing theme of the American right. They may not be in 100% agreement on all the issues but they all agree on that one thing.

He's going to try whether there's a way or not. The GOP isn't concerned with governing. Their only raison d'etre while in opposition is to oppose. It doesn't even matter if a Democrat-supported bill is something they actually like. They will be against it simply because the Dems are for it. There's no thought of compromise in order to get anything done. They just want everything to grind to a halt until they're back in power. It's been that way since Obama's first term.

I don't think he can, with the previous noms, they went the "Nuclear" Option and a Supreme Court Justice only needs a Majority vote.
The only ones that can stop it are: Manchin and Sinema... but maybe Colllins and Murkowski vote for the Justices as a "make good" on Barrett and Kavanaugh.

I'm going to be the exact opposite. Republicans will obstruct, obstruct, obstruct. It's what they do, it's largely the only thing they know how to do anymore. Bipartisanship is seen as defeat now. They're fighting a holy war against liberals.

for mitch, though, I'm sure he's going to use this opportunity to show what a wonderful fair person he has always been, and that its the evil libs that have always been trying to hijack the court.
