OT: American Politics

The NRA has been exposed as a total fraud. This would have been the perfect time to tackle this issue, if 30% of the country wasn't completely looney tunes and willing to believe literally anything they read on social media.

However, there is also the fact that somewhere around 90% of Americans are okay with background checks, so there is at least some hope that something can be done.

you actually still trust polls in the USA?

The initial *official* explanation from Erick Estrada was that the suspect crashed his vehicle, they received a call that there was an armed person heading into the school and that three armed officers engaged the suspect *with gunfire* outside the school but he managed to get in anyway because *body armor* before barricading himself in a room which a CBP agent, acting without backup, stormed and killed the suspect.

The explanation now seems to be that one armed officer engaged the suspect outside the school but did not exchange fire, the suspect was wearing what appeared to be armour but had no capability as such, and that the CBP agent entered the room 90 min after the initial 911 call after the door was opened with a key and officers stood outside.

That is… something else.
