And while Biden called on states to follow his lead don't expect any red states to do anything. Most red states have privatized their prisons so ticky-tack drug busts that put people into for-profit jails represents revenue. And since a lot of state politicians and judges are also stockholders in these prison companies, they have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo.

yup, hence my sympathy.

don't get me wrong, if he gets elected, he will be part of the fascist problem. but I dunno if he has the cognitive abilities to realize that on his own, so he gets a bit of a pass.

on the other hand, he also has a long history of pretty reprehensible behaviour, so there is that.
