Wasn't the virus supposed to go away on November 4thWhat possible reward from Trump could they get that they wouldn't already be getting? Seriously?
People have been trying to oust him for 4 years and it's all of a sudden inconceivable that they slow roll the announcement? Please, they could have easily said it 2 weeks earlier as everything remained on track and the timeline did not change. This was the cherry on top, not that I blame them.
You don't get why a company would want to be the first to announce possibly the biggest "discovery" in history first? You don't see why they'd want to be the talk of the world? Why would Pfizer need to get to market first on an announcement for a vaccine that is months away from being available? I don’t see how the few extra days would impact their business prospects, no more than it did Moderna by coming after Pfizer by a few days.
The conspiracy theory has already been debunked. You can't announce something you don't have data for. And I believe they were blind to the data anyway. Only the independent board had access to the information. You don't get why a company would want to be the first to announce possibly the biggest "discovery" in history first? 12K votes in GA and you don't agree? Well we'll just agree to disagree then. As I said, the world shall never know.I don't think there were enough fence sitter to matter. This was the biggest turnout in total numbers ever, and that likely is not a sign of a material number of apathetic fence sitters that didn't make up their mind until November 3.
Wut?Top of the list for future government contracts, of course. Fast track of future approvals while slow footing competitors. Etc.
Debunked. Sure. The conspiracy theory has already been debunked. You can't announce something you don't have data for. And I believe they were blind to the data anyway. Only the independent board had access to the information.
You need to fact check better. That's just wrong.Data was available already.
Then a couple of days later another company with higher efficacy rates steals your thunder? You're thinking in a regular business model, not in a pandemic model. It doesn't matter who announced first. Not in the least. As for rollout? That may benefit the first one more. You don't get why a company would want to be the first to announce possibly the biggest "discovery" in history first? You don't see why they'd want to be the talk of the world?
Please. Show me.You need to fact check better. That's just wrong.
Wut?
These pharma giants already have their contracts. The fast track doesn't happen without emergency use criteria regardless of President. There is literally nothing Trump can give them that they aren't already getting. The benefit leans to slow roll.
As always though, we'll agree to disagre.
(because that's worked so well in the past).
See my post on the last page.Please. Show me.
Don't bother showing when the "independent board" announced. That is independent scientists from the pharma giants, not independent of politics.
"On 3 November, they hit the 62 mark .. It then took several days ..new ones coming in..Combined, these samples led to the 94 cases presented to the DMC on 8 November."
