OT: American Politics

The only, only stable path forward for any national economy right now is to go full tits into renewables. The strait of hormuz just pivoted from being a lever of American foreign policy to a lever of Chinese foreign policy. We'll see how long it takes for China to pull it the first time.

This is a stunning realignment of geopolitical power. Historic.

They already knew they had Trump over a barrel tho. They're not dummies.

You've got tunnel vision, this isn't about Trump.

This is bad.

No, they did not know that they had this option, or else they would have taken it years ago. There would have been no JCPOA, no sanctions, they just would have shut down the strait until America broke.

bad for israel for sure.

It's 2029 and the EU gets into a trade kerfuffle with China over, whatever...EV's, IP, whatever. China gives Iran a nudge and asks them to block all EU bound boats from the middle east until the EU gives in on said trade issue.

That's a really easy example of the power they now have. It's not about open or close, it's about whose hand is on the switch and why it's used.

I think Trump inadvertently accelerated the green revolution. US is way behind China
