OT: Coronavirus Resources - and other things to not worry about

Yeah been putting it off because of pandemic but I just got shot #4 and I figure I'm not going to get much better protected so I'm off. Will be prudent with masks. Only the Philippines really concerns me.

Add another tool to the kit. Variant-proof too. It's not much but it's a statistically significant result. Extremely safe product and cheap. Covid continues to be defanged and there is more to come.

Next step: long covid prevention and treatments for those already impacted.

Flying into Pearson, having a meeting at the airport then continuing on to Seoul from YYZ. Gets around that quarantine BS.
You don’t need to quarantine if you’re fully vaxxed. Though I guess whoever you’re meeting would if they aren’t in cansda / not vaxxed.

I've made a terrible mistake entering the comments of a post regarding free testing kits in Ontario.

Everything from:

"they don't even work"
"waste of government money"
"they're poison - and have been recalled"

-to-

"they're putting COVID in them, you dummies"

I’m really not sure what we’re going to do to combat the stupidity pandemic.

I blame social safety nets, workers rights, and increases in productivity. Back when everyone had to work 12 hour days, six days a week to not starve, idiots didn't have time to look up and spread dumb ideas on the internet. There was also no internet, but fuck it I'm rolling.

"Free" ad-driven social media is a huge problem IMO - some serious conflicts of interest.

I'll go further than that. I blame childhood labour policies. If all children were working in coal mines like they should (they're little, so can fit into tighter spaces to find more of that sweet, sweet coal) the black lung would have killed them long before they could develop dangerous opinions.

Seriously though, regulating the shit out of social media is the obvious answer here.

What data is collected, how it's used, how the algos are built (should be required by law to be published publicly)...all need regulation. No numbnuts, designing a computer program that is designed to make people stare at your product 12 hours a day and radicalize them into whichever cubby hole of hatred they're already leaning towards isn't a trade secret, it should be a fucking crime.

We need to start treating the mental environment like we treat the physical environment.

Just don’t infringe facebooks 2nd amendment rights.
