Ontario doesn't see ripe tomatoes till August.
Everything in Toronto is already being shut down til July 1 so August doesn't seem all that crazy.

I do
I've never been angrier about giving away one of my freezers about half a year ago. Had a nice big one but decided to sell it because I figured, what's the use with only 2 people here? And then China unleashed this shit on us.Yeah, that’s what I’ve been thinking.
I’ve been slowly building up my inventory of frozen & canned fruits & veg, but I haven’t dipped into any of them yet.
Figure I’ll save those for a rainy day and keep buying a pile of fresh stuff on my bi-weekly shopping trips, for as long as it’s available.
‘Cos yeah, if this keeps getting worse and/or the majority of the world’s population stays in lockdown for months, who the **** knows what’s going to happen.
I feel like I saw something on the news where farmers were pretty much like "we're fucked" but that could have just been a dream. It's been a long three weeks.

Mother fucker.
Are you allowed to say it was China yet? Because it was. They acted just like Trump and ignored the shit and even lied about it.
So wrong.
Nobody cares. It's self preservation at this point. They'll get help once advanced countries stabilize. It's the unfortunate truth of the situation. It makes you think about what the hell is going on in the developing world right now, where they didn't have enough food, water or medicine to begin with.
Definitely wishing I had more freezer space too.
Might be a silly question, but how stable is our food supply? For example, are we going to get local asparagus in May (as is customary)
Are farmers working the fields?
Is our food supply endless?
I may also guess that many places like Bradford greenhouses may switch up and instead of pretty flowers etc, grow seedlings for veg etc. people can grown their own
i plan on building a massive garden this summer
