Craft beer nerds. I'm running low on beer. I don't have much beer but once in awhile a nice crisp beverage is needed and with summer coming it'll be even more required.

So craft beer nerds. Many of them deliver to my neck of the woods and this is what I want in my life. Do any of you have recommendations? I find beer is very much a personal acquired taste kind of thing with a lot of them but I'm sure you guys have some very strong opinions on them as fucking usual. Let's hear them.

I like my beer kind of boring, for today's standards. So many brewers are trying to outhop each other.

For a classic, local lager, I like this one

I’ve been ranting about this for a few of years now. Waaaaay too much hops. Some of this stuff is just really bad, totally unbalanced. Undrinkable.

Lug Tread is good.

For something with a little sour edge, I like this one. The entire line from Collective Arts (Hamilton are) is very interesting.

Collective Arts = Best brewery in Ontario.

Anything they make is delicious, no matter what your tastes.

But their specialty is strong IPAs, and they got a bunch of them. I've got four variations in my fridge right now. Also good on sours.

Also just had a delicious strong IPA from Cowbell brewery which I never had before. Will have again.

Bench brewery has some gorgeous sours. Starting with Oak Grove.

Unfortunately there are many many shitty IPAs. Shelves are loaded with them.

But also some very very good ones if you find them.

Shipped by Canada Post which 1. Has hilarious delays (still waiting on my drugs) and 2. Make you go to a Canada Post to pick it up. Otherwise, as a lagerhead based on the reviews and your review, I'd be all over this product. This Amsterdam brewery has doorstep delivery so I'll likely grab a mediocre Lager from them.

My go to IPA right now is Lake Effect from GLB. Delicious and not too over the top in terms of hoppiness/bitterness. Their Karma Citra is my fave but I think it’s only seasonal.

Can’t really get much collective arts out in ns but I will back zeke rating them as on’s top craft brewery.

But if you’re a bud kinda guy you’ll prolly like the amsterdam blonde
