OT: Coronavirus Resources - and other things to not worry about

Seemed like it was an honest effort. They really believed it would work. It didn't. Now the rest of the world can use it as a case study and Sweden can adapt.

Sure, they caused a fuckton of preventable deaths, but hey at least they admitted they were wrong and are adjusting on the go, unlike one particular country.

Basically can’t go anywhere in the town I live in now. Full on conspiracy theorists throughout re: covid. Apparently makes more sense that all the richest people in the world got together and caused this pandemic.

Pretty much no one wears a mask unless it blatantly says you have to at any store. The mantra is “Everyone should have a choice, we can’t let totalitarianism take over!”. So frustrating....

It's the #me-me-me movement.

..but I've been planning this vacation for years.
..but Thanksgiving is the only time I can see family.
..but my neighbour had a BBQ, why can't I.
..but it's only this one time.
..but my child will be missing out.
..everyone else will keep me safe.

I mean, a lot of it is the whole "what can one person really do?". Like, "Why does it matter if I host a BBQ? It's just me and a couple friends. Even if I catch it, I'll be fine"

I ask myself that question every day. I figure there were always too many to kill so some will always survive. We’re the roaches of the universe.

So that Pfizer vaccine turned out to have 95% efficacy. Of 43,661 participants, 170 events, 162 in placebo group, 8 in the vaccine. Nutso. Up there with the best of the best.
