OT: Coronavirus Resources - and other things to not worry about

Do you have symptoms?

I had some fatigue and a little bit of build up in my lungs. But it was my trip to the U.S that got me the test. They just called me back and asked me to go to the hospital right away. It was weird seeing the hospital so empty. They asked me questions by speaker phone in another room.

Hopefully we don't run out of protective equipment for the healthcare workers. The Nurse's union has told Nurse's that they do not have to work if they do not have the protective gear. That would be bad for so many reasons..

Given the challenge to get tests done, and the delay in results, I feel like deaths are the only really informative metric at this point.

hospitalization rates as well
ICU rates
ventilator rates

But long term we need tons of quick tests or else we are all locked up for a year+

So it's still increasing at a stupid rate, just a less stupid rate. So their curve is starting to flatten.

Yeah. This is just the new normal until there is a vaccine, massive improvement in testing times, and anti virals for those who are infected. Society will move on if this turns into a new, slightly worse flu (like the mouth breathers were claiming a couple of weeks back).
