Regardless of how well or how poorly Canada handles this, the NHL's not coming back until the United States gets their shit together. And certainly seems like it's a hell of a long way away.

Rice or no rice, I think an out of control deadly pandemic is a good enough reason to be extra cautious about gathering in large crowds until a mother fucking vaccine/treatment is introduced. But you're right, having record-breaking rice does help.

Like I always say, having absolute rock bottom standards certainly helps. But it's hard to complain about much he has done.
 
As a Habs fan, the season ended a long time ago, but it does remind me (painfully) of when my Expos had the best record in MLB in 1994.
 
Yeah good on him. He has made bonehead decisions in the past, but I am impressed by how he has tackled this.

Again, like Mindz said, he is smart enough to step back and let the smart people do most of the work (or something along those lines), but still.

My best case scenario didn't expect any crowds....just tested players, refs and camera people.
 
I hate Ford's guts, but I won't hesitate at all to praise his handling of this.

Especially when you stack him up to the orange twit south of the border. A low bar to be sure, but one that Ford's miles above.
 
I still think they could be way more proactive with this. Like this could've been done earlier + more aggressive moves by the government to get labs the resources they need.
 
Yeah I'm not ready to praise Ford. He's been fine.. In a way that Habsy thinks Trump has been "fine" and his only issue is that he simply "isn't professional." Ford has done the bare minimum of what I'd expect which is more than I can say about many.
