OT: Coronavirus Resources - and other things to not worry about

I’m trying to set up remote access to the funeral for the family. Looking for a service or someone that can accommodate in Montreal. Anyone know of a company or anything of that sort up there?

i think most homes are on it.

Not to make light of the situation, but I'm now reminded of this 11 min webisode on live stream funerals. It's pretty damn funny.

Condolences to you and your family. It’s difficult enough in the best of times.

Hopefully your mother will willingly agree to stay put for now. it is possible that she would have to self quarantine when landing in Quebec.

My uncle died this morning in Montreal. 74. Had lung cancer but wasn’t close to death. Family doesn’t know yet if COVID 19 accelerated the issue. I’m beyond sick of this shit. My mom is trying to book a flight to Montreal and I’m shutting her down on that.

Something else I shouldn’t worry about eh?
im so sorry for your families loss Habsy. It’s always awful but especially so when you are helpless to do anything. Much love to you guys.

It feels like a week is a month these days so it’s easy to forget that his March Break comment was only a week ago. Still think he doesn’t get a free pass for that.

But glad to see he’s changed his tune.

Not a Ford fan at all, but a leader willing to change his message based on current events is a good thing. March break comment was dumb but he didn't double down on it once he realized what was about to happen.

Where was the list of symptoms compared to the flu again. It showed headache and fever and Gastro issues coughing sneezing etc

No sense trying to tease them out based on symptoms. They can present the exact same way and at times COVID can present with far less severe/innocuous symptoms.

The hallmarks to this point are a fever (often low grade), shortness of breath, cough (dry vs. productive doesn't seem to matter), extreme fatigue, with some anecdotal cases of impaired taste/smell. But as I posted before, some present with other upper respiratory symptoms (runny nose, sore throat, ear/sinus pain) or GI symptoms like abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea. In short, it fan present with any constellation of symptoms imaginable.

I know the information is delayed so there's obviously a backlog, but Quebec spiking to over 600 cases does not seem like a good indicator for the 8500 tests pending Ontario has.
