OT: Coronavirus Resources - and other things to not worry about

I guess you dismiss Nouvelle Cuisine as some superficial hippy dippy shit.

I'm not really big on the plating/presentation aspect of it, or in trying to replace the classic sauces with "acid" (aka lemon juice).

But some outstanding techniques came out of it (sous vide ftw, better flavour pairings). I'm hardly a fundamentalist about it, but I do prefer a lot of the classic heavy stews and roasted dishes.
 
If you have a chance, grab a really old edition of Larousse Gastronomique. I found a 1960 edition at a garage sale. It pretty much ignores and dismissed the rest of the world.
 
So, I ordered some chocolate and gummies from the OCS. As someone brand new to THC/CBD I decided to start slow. I had a couple of gummies and really didn't see any effect. On another night, I ate the package of milk chocolate (10mg of THC) and outside of experiencing some dry mouth and a little light headedness nothing really. Slept like a champ though. I'm not really looking to get fucked up, mostly trying them out as a sleeping / de-stressing aid but I expected more...something? Or am I dosing too low?

10 seems a little low.

I'd try 25, or 30 if your candies are 10 each.

Give like 45-1hr for the effects to kick in, longer if you have a full stomach.

Some companies (like mota), differentiate their gummies into indica and sativa. I'd assume most companies that don't list are using an indica flower, which is probably what you'd want for a sleep/de-stresser (is more of a body buzz and a 'couch lock' feeling).

You could also look into liquid forms. Either drops or some places are coming out with drinks/soda etc.

Oil could be a another option. Take a little bit, roll it on some bread and take it like a pill (no taste). You'd have to kind of feel your way through how much is too much, since it would be hard to get an exact measurement of how much thc you are taking that way.
